Security Divider Self-Moving Service
MoveAmerica commonly uses enclosed commercial trailers that provide substantial household-goods capacity. Your shipment is loaded into the front portion of the trailer and the amount of space used is measured in linear feet.
Once loading is complete, a divider bulkhead is installed behind your shipment. Commercial freight may travel behind the divider, while your household goods remain separated in their assigned trailer space.

Loading and Unloading Help
You do not have to perform all of the physical loading yourself. Loading and unloading help may be available at origin, destination, or both ends of the move.
When professional loading help is requested, service availability and pricing depend on the location, move date, work required, and local provider availability.
Packing household goods into boxes is separate from loading the packed shipment unless packing service is specifically arranged.
Loading and Unloading Time
Trailer loading and unloading arrangements vary by carrier, route, terminal, shipment circumstances, and the service selected. Your quote and reservation information should identify the applicable timing for your move.
If you need a special delivery arrangement, same-day handling, additional loading time, or another timing accommodation, confirm availability before the move is scheduled.
Moving Equipment and Supplies
Loading Ramps
Trailer equipment varies by route and carrier. Confirm ramp availability when arranging your move.
Dollies
Ask what moving equipment is supplied with the trailer and what equipment should be obtained separately for your shipment.
Moving Blankets
Moving blankets and furniture protection materials should be arranged before loading when required.
Packing Materials
Boxes, tape, padding, and other packing materials should be obtained early enough to complete packing before the scheduled loading period.
Storage Options
Storage may be available when your destination is not ready for immediate delivery. The appropriate arrangement depends on the route, carrier, storage period, shipment, and destination requirements.
Short-term trailer storage and longer-term household-goods storage are different services. Confirm the storage method, free-time allowance if any, storage charges, access limitations, and anticipated delivery arrangements before reserving storage.
Military Personally Procured Moves (PPM)
MoveAmerica can be considered for a member-elected Personally Procured Move when the service fits the shipment and military requirements. Military PPM customers should obtain authorization and confirm weight-ticket and documentation requirements with their Transportation Office before booking.
MoveAmerica does not determine military reimbursement and does not represent itself as a government-assigned carrier.
Carrier Liability and Optional Protection
The transportation service is subject to the carrier liability terms that apply to your shipment. Optional protection or insurance may also be available depending on the shipment and service selected.
Coverage terms, valuation, limits, exclusions, deductibles, and pricing should be reviewed before the move is reserved. Do not assume that a particular level of protection applies unless it is stated in your quote or shipping documents.
